Women in Animation Montreal invites you to a special community animation screening and networking event.

J.A. de Sève cinema

Join us for a special community screening in celebration of International Women's day, and of the incredible work of female animators and directors from the National Film Board (NFB). Centered around the theme “Stages of (a Woman’s) Life: Celebrating Women’s Creativity, Strength, and Resilience”, this event honors the artistic contributions, groundbreaking innovation, and lasting impact of women in the animation industry. Doors open at 5:00 pm on March 8th at Concordia Cinema de Sève. We suggest arriving 15min early as seats will not be booked in advance. The screening will last approximmately 100 minutes, and will contain a number of carefully curated animated shorts. The purpose of this selection is to shine a spotlight on local visionary creators who have paved the way for future generations. Following the screening, we invite you to join us for a small reception, a chance to connect, reflect, and celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in animation. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks will be offered free of charge.
