63rd Annual General Meeting of the NSCSW

Online event
Saturday, May 30  •  9 AM - 12 PM ADT
Overview

The Nova Scotia College of Social Workers is holding a virtual public meeting to present its annual report.

Joining the AGM

NSCSW members: Join on Zoom

Members of the NSCSW may join the annual general meeting on Zoom. All members in good standing are eligible to vote on motions, including associate, retired and student members, except those with limited registration (e.g. temporary registration, restricted to telepractice only from outside NS). Members will need to register here on Eventbrite to receive the login details of the online meeting. During registration you must enter your NSCSW member number accurately to confirm that your membership is in good standing and you are eligible to vote. Member registration will close at noon the day before the AGM.

Members also need access to a computer or mobile device that can use Zoom (click here to test it out). Please also remember to hold onto your Eventbrite username and password, as you'll need them to log in and access the page with the Zoom link.

Non-members: Watch the livestream

Non-members cannot join the Zoom meeting, but will be able to watch a livestream as long as you have access to a computer or mobile device with a reasonably reliable internet connection.
The livestream will be shared on our social media, and you can also RSVP to this event to get a reminder email with a link.

Agenda

NSCSW leadership will report on the business of the College in 2025, with a review of financial statements and adoption of the 2027 budget.

Conference

We made the decision to cancel our 2026 NSCSW Conference: Navigating Complexity Together. The recently announced legislation that will transform regulation of the profession in our province has staff, council, and committees reflecting on the resources, both financial and human, that will be needed to prioritize these regulatory changes and consultations with social workers.
