2020 SFU Alumni Association AGM

Everyone knows Canadians are polite. Did you know we are also one of the happiest countries in the world? According to the United Nation’s 2019 World Happiness Report, Canada ranked the 9th happiest nation out of 156 countries.

Join us, and fellow alumni, online on Wednesday, May 27 for the 2020 SFU Alumni Association AGM and feature presentation to hear from SFU’s own happiness researcher, Social Psychologist Lara Aknin. A contributor and co-editor of the World Happiness Report, Aknin will discuss some recent findings which suggest that helping others leads to greater happiness than helping oneself, and that this finding may be a common feature of most people around the globe.

LOCATION
Due to the Provincial Government’s restrictions on large events, this year’s AGM will take place online. We look forward to welcoming you to this unique and eventful online session.

VOTING ELIGIBILITY
Alumni who would like to vote at the AGM must be a current member of the SFU Alumni Association (SFUAA) in good standing. If you wish to become a member, you may opt-in for membership when you register for this event.
