Yes, it's true. Businesses and groups are not permitted to hand out items at any point along the parade route to ensure the safety of parade spectators. If you have something you want to hand out, contact Airdrie Parades to have them distributed through our barricade volunteer teams.

Where can parents drop off my youth float participants?

Parents can drop children off at South Fletcher Park parking lot from the 1st avenue entrance. Note that no drop-offs will be allowed at the Main Street entrance to the park.

Where can parents pick up their kids?

Airdrie Parades does not have a designated pick up area for float participants, but we encourage groups to determine a pickup location away from the parade route. We suggest the Sobey's parking lot. Note that the parade ends away from the starting point.
