What You Need To Know
Veterinarians may sign up for one or both days. The early bird registration only applies to a two-day ticket, there is no early discount on one-day ticket. Registration is restricted to veterinarians only for attending sessions, although the veterinarian ticket holder may purchase (for an additional fee) a guest ticket for the Seafood Buffet being held Monday evening. The cost of the Seafood Buffet is included in the November 4 ticket for veterinarians.
Speakers
Frank M. Andrews, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVIM
Dr. Andrews is a LVMA Equine Committee professor and director of the Equine Health Studies Program at Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. As an internal medicine specialist, Andrews research interests include equine gastric ulcer disease. He wil speak on Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome, Gastrointestinal Diseases, Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction and Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis in horses.
Dr. Sarah Puchalski, DVM, DVCVR
Dr. Puchalski is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology whose specialty includes the interpretation of radiographs in addition to other diagnostic imaging techniques. Dr. Puchalski has devoted her career to teaching and improving equine health through the development and refinement of diagnostic techniques. In 2011 she contributed to two books on the topic of equine lameness.

Early Bird Registration
Early bird registration only applies to a two-day registration ticket.
The two-day early bird registration rate is $487.00 plus Eventbrite fees plus GST (early bird rate is only available until midnight Friday October 11, 2024).
Regular Registration
The two-day registration rate is effective starting Saturday October 12, 2024. The rate is $540.00 plus Eventbrite fees plus GST.
The one-day registration rate is $379.00 plus Eventbrite fees plus GST.
Guest Seafood Buffet ticket is $80 plus Eventbrite fees plus GST (this is a guest ticket for the seafood buffet; the price of the buffet is included for the veterinarian in the November 4 ticket).

Cancellation
Friday October 14, 2024 is the last day for a full refund (not including Eventbrite fees). There will be no refunds after October 14, 2024.

Biographies
Dr. Frank Andrews, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVIM
Dr. Frank M. Andrews is a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, Washington, where he received a DVM and MS. After a year in private veterinary practice, he completed an Equine Medicine and Surgery Residency at The Ohio State University. After 20 years on the faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, he is currently LVMA Equine Committee Professor and Head of The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, as well as the Director of the Equine Health and Sports Performance Program at LSU Vet Med. Dr. Andrews is Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Large Animal Internal Medicine. Dr. Andrews’ has clinical and research interests in gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal disease, and endocrine diseases and is involved in clinical equine practice and has been doing scientific investigation for over 35 years.
Sarah M. Puchalski, DVM, DACVR
Puchalski and Associates Equine Diagnostic Imaging
Sarah grew up in Roberts Creek, British Columbia, Canada. She has a bachelor of science degree from Simon Fraser University in B.C. and graduated veterinary school in 1999 from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. Following veterinary school, she completed a 2-year program (internship/ residency) in Field Service and Sports Medicine at New Bolton Center, the large animal hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She then pursued further training in diagnostic imaging at the University of California, Davis completing a 4-year residency in 2005. She attained board certification by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2004.
Upon completion of her residency, she obtained a faculty position in the Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Davis earning tenure in 2012. During that time, she was actively involved in didactic and clinical teaching, research and clinical diagnostic imaging. She has authored or co-authored more than 40 scientific articles and multiple book chapters relating to diagnostic imaging in veterinary medicine.
In 2013, Sarah left the University and started Puchalski Equine Inc an equine teleradiology service. The diagnostic imaging interpretation service now includes 4 other ACVR and ACVR-EDI Diplomates. She is back at home, with the business headquarters in Gibsons, British Columbia, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Canada. She spends part of the winter in Wellington, Florida during the Winter Equestrian Festival. Sarah was an avid show jumper competing in the amateur owner divisions and now enjoys owning show jumpers in various locations.
