Join us on Saturday, Nov. 30, at our North Vancouver main campus, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., for exciting activities during our Explore CapU Open House!
What happens at Explore?

• Get help preparing your portfolio and gain valuable tips to make your application stand out;
• Learn about the various financial aid and entrance award options available to you;
• Engage in our special Film and Animation open house;

Parking is free on the day of the event for Explore CapU participants.
Frequently asked questions
Check-in will open at 10:45 a.m., 15 minutes before the event starts. We strongly recommend arriving at this time to ensure a smooth check-in process and to have ample time to explore your areas of interest.
Yes, parking is free during the event. For those interested in programs such as Animation, Film/MoPA, Costuming for Stage and Screen, and VFX, we recommend using Lot 3. For other programs, Lot 1 is recommended as it is closest to the check-in area in the Birch Building.
The event takes place across the entire campus, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a rain jacket, as you'll be walking outdoors. A golf cart is available for accessibility needs.
Most activities run continuously, so you can drop in anytime. However, some, like info sessions and portfolio reviews, are scheduled at specific times. Check the full agenda at https://capilanou.ca/explore
All family members and friends are welcome. Please ensure you get tickets for all attendees and have them ready—either printed or on your phone—to speed up the check-in process.
Yes, you can visit multiple program areas. All program areas, along with the support services mini-fair, will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you’re interested in more than one program, we encourage you to arrive early to ensure you have enough time to explore and participate in all the activities
Yes, programs such as 2D Animation, 3D Animation, Design, and VFX will have faculty available for portfolio reviews. Please check the agenda in advance for specific timing and bring your portfolio to receive valuable feedback and advice from our faculty.
