The 2024 New West Film Fest is a 3-day independent film festival running Friday, October 25 to Sunday, October 27. We are an international film festival, featuring local, Canadian, and international independent films from New Westminster and across Canada, USA, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Türkiye, and Iran. In our 14th year, we have film screenings with Q & A with filmmakers, celebrating film arts at the New West Landmark Cinema, just steps from the skytrain station. Can I purchase tickets at the cinema?

Yes, although tickets are available on Eventbrite, you can buy tickets at the cinema, if the screening is not sold out.

Can children attend the New West Film Fest?

Unfortunately, no. As the films are unrated, you must be 18 + to attend screenings. You must be a member of the festival, and buy your $2 membership, which makes you a member of the New West Film Society for one year.

Why do I have to purchase a $2 membership fee?

Our festival shows unrated films, and you must be a member of the New West Film Society to view the films. You must purchase one membership per person, not per screening. You must be 18+ to be a member of New West Film Society, and to attend the festival.

Are screenings subject to change?

Yes. Although we do our best to show all the films anounced, sometimes there is a change based on availability of the film, or due to technical difficulties. We will do our best to show the listed films, but we may have to change a screening.
