Organized by

As an organization committed to spiritual and social growth, we expand Nouwen’s footprint in the world through creative programs, partnerships and life-transforming initiatives that have a lasting impact on individuals and organizations. Twenty-five years after his death, Henri Nouwen is perhaps more influential now than when he was alive and we believe the world continues to need his wisdom and witness.

Anchored in Nouwen’s spirituality, our objective is to motivate people – individually and collectively – with a call to action in their various spheres of influence. Our vision is to offer resources for spiritual transformation so that future generations come to know what Henri knew – that we are all the Beloved sons and daughters of God.

Through numerous platforms the Henri Nouwen Society promotes Henri’s body of work to existing and new audiences worldwide, providing valuable spiritual tools and guidance to ministry leaders and spiritual seekers.

We deliver quality conferences, retreats and workshops on a broad spectrum of topics that Henri covered such as caregiving, social justice, the environment and peace, pastoral care and other themes that resonate deeply with what is happening in the world around us. We also draw academics, spiritual leaders, and ordinary people into the heart of Henri’s spirituality of care and compassion.
