Join us for the 2024 WCCSHG in Edmonton, AB from December 10-12, 2024!
As an attendee you will have the opportunity to learn from University and applied researchers, Government and NGO, industry, and producer panelists. The WCCSHG will have a trade show going on throughout the Conference with a variety of regnerative ag resources, fencing, water, soil, and financial organization booths. The WCCSHG is an amazing networking opportunity to swap experiences, advice, and to learn from other producers attending who all share a common interest!
Some of the 2024 WCCSHG keynote speakers include Burke Teichert, Dr. Bart Lardner, Stuart Chutter, Rick Bieber, Ralph Wright, Lana Shaw, and more!
The WCCSHG is a collaborative event hosted by the Applied Research and Forage Associations within Alberta. The Chinook Applied Research Association (CARA), located in Oyen AB, oversees conference registration and administration. Meals
The meals included with registration:
- Tuesday: lunch and evening appetizers
- Wednesday: breakfast, lunch
- Thursday: breakfast, lunch
- 5 coffee breaks with snacks during the Conference
- Wednesday night Banquet Tickets must be purchased to attend
Purchasing Tickets
- Please note that banquet tickets for are sold separately from Conference registration.
- When purchasing a Farm Unit Ticket please include both names of those attending.
- Early bird pricing is available until October 31 2024. Tickets sold after October 31 2024 will cost an additional $50.
- Tickets can be cancelled and refunded through Eventbrite while tickets are for sale. After ticket sales have ended online please contact CARA to discuss refunds or transferring your ticket.
- After ticket sales end a waiting list will be started. Please contact CARA to be added to the waitlist.
Western Canada Conference on Soil Health & Grazing 2024 Registration Refund Policy
In the event the conference is sold out, a ticket holder requesting a refund will have 2 options:
1. Transfer of Registration. The Registration Committee shall provide the person at the top of the waiting list with the original ticket holder’s contact information. It will be the responsibility of the original ticket holder to collect funds from the new ticket holder and also to confirm the new name for his/her ticket to the Conference Registration Committee.
2. Return of Funds. If the original ticket holder does not wish to transfer the ticket, a refund will be issued relative to timing of the request:
- 80% refund if canceled on or before November 10, 2024
- 50% refund if canceled on or between November 11 and 25, 2024
- 0% refund if canceled November 26, 2024 or later
If the Conference is not sold out, the ticket holder requesting the refund will be reimbursed according to the Return of Funds criteria listed above.

No, the Wednesday, December 11 evening Banquet ticket(s) is not included with any of the registration passes. To order banquet tickets please add the option to your registration order.

We welcome all to attend the conference, but we will not be granting any travel letters or visas to attendees. If you are from outside of Canada please either pay online or contact the CARA office to arrange payment.
