Frequently asked questions
No, but we strongly encourage you and your team to bring forward an idea that addresses a real problem you are passionate about solving. This is an excellent opportunity to develop that idea into something viable and turn it into an actual business. The more ideas brought to the competition, the bet
It's entirely up to you! This year, we're changing things up. You can come with your own team and idea, but please don’t start working on it before the event begins. Alternatively, you can sign up as an individual, and we’ll place you on a team that matches your skillset!
Everyone who is registered is expected to participate for the Monday night and the full day Tuesday. It’s important that we ensure all participants are committed to the process and can rely on one another. Your expertise is very much valued throughout the entire competition.
Ideally, you are aiming to build a minimum viable product (MVP), which will include customer validation, execution & design, and business model. Before Community Night, you will pitch your idea to internal judges, and you’ll be expected to present slide decks, mockups, and demos.
Please carefully review the participant descriptions under the different ticket types.
Your team should consist of 3-5 individuals, each contributing different skills to help execute your idea during the 24-hour event. Ideally, you'll have a mix of roles: an entrepreneurial thinker, a developer, a marketer, a presenter for the judges, and a spokesperson for the Q&A session if you win.
We're shifting the focus away from pitching in front of an audience. You'll pitch to judges before the Community Night. At the event, we’ll highlight the challenges you faced, what excited you, and the process behind your MVP, so guests can better understand your journey, not just the end result.
