4-week Beginner Hand-building Course

Learn the basics with us on Sundays!

This four-week course is structured to help you develop basic ceramic hand-building skills and to bring your ideas to fruition.

We will cover hand-building techniques such as coil, pinch, slab, and template creation.

This course will focus on creating functional and decorative work.

Pieces will be created with one type of clay, and decorated with coloured underglazes on the last week.

January 5, 2025- Week One: Intro to Pinch Pots

January 12, 2025- Week Two: Intro to Coil Building

January 19, 2025- Week Three: Intro to Slab Building

January 26, 2025- Week Four: Intro to Underglaze Decoration (PLEASE NOTE: Week 4 will be three hours long (1-4 pm) to allow time to paint and finish your work.)

Your pieces will be glazed and fired after course completion.
