You’re invited to attend Town Hall in Peterborough, Ontario, hosted by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO) on May 7th at 10 a.m. EST.
While CMTO (regulator) and RMTAO (professional association) are different organizations with very different mandates, hosting our Town Hall event jointly will be an efficient way to reach our common audience of RMTs.
If you cannot attend the events in person, you will be able to view a recording of the Toronto Town Hall on YouTube afterwards.
During the event, Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar & CEO, will be presenting an overview of regulatory changes impacting Massage Therapy practice and discussing CMTO’s strategic priorities for 2024. Then, Michael Feraday, RMTAO’s Executive Director & CEO, will be speaking of some of the RMTAO’s key advocacy initiatives over the past year including RMTAO’s Pilot Project in West Toronto Community Health Services, issues with insurance, and Queen’s Park Day.
Maureen and Michael will be answering questions from attendees.
Both the CMTO and RMTAO are committed to engaging with RMTs and Massage Therapy students to hear and understand diverse perspectives. The attendees will also have opportunities to network with their peers and light snacks will be served during the events.
All RMTs and Massage Therapy students in Ontario are welcome to attend this free event.
