Ontario's Learn to Fish Program Silver Lake Provincial Park

- Event lasts 74 days 5 hours
This fun and engaging 2–hour free program combines a 1-hour practical teaching session with 1-hour of supervised hands-on fishing.
A few key things to note:
- Children under the age of 18 must be registered by and accompanied on site by an adult
- All required fishing equipment will be provided
- We recommend that participants bring appropriate sun protection including a sun hat.
- Participants are not required to have a fishing licence as they are deemed a one day
conservation fishing licence ( all participants must follow all Ontario fishing regulations)
- To particpate in the Learn to Fish program at most locations, a day use and/or parking fees
will apply
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your Learn to Fish event to confirm your registration.
The program typically runs from mid June to end of August every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at this location. We run two sessions per day.
Morning: 10:00am-12:00pm
Afternoon: 1:00pm-3:00pm

Programme Apprendre à pêcher de l’Ontario – Parc Silver Lake
Bienvenue! Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à vivre une aventure de pêche pour tous les âges. Le programme vous est offert par le gouvernement de l’Ontario.
Ce programme gratuit, divertissant et stimulant, d’une durée de deux heures, comprend une séance d’enseignement pratique d’une heure et une séance de pêche supervisée d’une heure.
Quelques points importants :
- Les enfants âgés de moins de 18 ans doivent être inscrits par un adulte, qui doit les accompagner sur les lieux de l’événement.
- Tout le matériel de pêche requis sera fourni.
- Nous recommandons aux participants de prévoir une protection solaire appropriée, dont un chapeau.
- Les participants n’ont pas besoin d’avoir un permis de pêche, puisqu’ils sont considérés comme ayant un permis de pêche – version écologique (conservation) d’un jour (tous les participants doivent suivre les règlements sur la pêche de l’Ontario).
- Pour la participation au programme Apprendre à pêcher à la plupart des endroits, des tarifs d’utilisation de jour ou de stationnement s’appliqueront.
Veuillez arriver 15 minutes avant votre événement Apprendre à pêcher pour confirmer votre inscription.
Le programme est habituellement offert de la mi-juin à la fin août le mercredi, le jeudi, le vendredi, le samedi et le dimanche à cet endroit. Nous offrons deux séances par jour.
Matinée : 10 h à 12 h
Après-midi : 13 h à 15 h
Le programme Apprendre à pêcher est offert à divers endroits du mois de juin à la fin août. Vous visitez actuellement le parc Silver Lake.
