This year’s Winter Solstice Concert is ready for another wonderful event. A family tradition, we are thrilled to offer this very special musical experience and hope you, your family and friends will be able to join us in celebrating the return of the light.
Cari Burdett presents her sell-out Winter Solstice Music Concert for its 9th year, enjoyment for all ages. This yearly musical tradition weaves acoustic and vocal music that ranges from jazz to folk, including new arrangements, providing warmth and peace on the longest night of the year. In the spirit of cabaret and combining music from around the world with a special inclusiong this year of Irish and Roma Ancestry songs, this show is sure to please.
“Every year we offer an array of songs connecting us to different Winter Solstice traditions around the world, and 2024 will not disappoint!” explains Burdett.
This year’s ensemble includes Anne Schaefer (Voice, Guitar, Piano), Quin Etheridge-Pedden from the Unfaithful Servants (violin, vocals), Adrian Dolan from The Bills (piano, accordion, vocals, and guitar), Scott White from The Bills (bass, vocals), Kim June Johnson (Voice, Banjo, Piano, Guitar) and Cari Burdett (vocals)
Throughout the evening, the audience are invited to join in and sing along. The exuberant close to the evening will be a hand-clapping-sing-along of “This Little Light of Mine.”
In addition to the concert, we will also be fundraising for a new society called Arts Based Community Discovery / ABCD, which focuses on supporting our relationships in the valley through the Arts and Nature Connection.
Don’t miss out on this amazing concert.
A family Favorite.
Sells out every year.
We look forward to seeing you there.
