Organized by the Support Network for Indigenous Women & Women of Colour, the “Accelerate Action” Healthcare Leadership Summit is dedicated to addressing systemic inequities in the healthcare sector while amplifying the voices and leadership of women, particularly those from underserved communities.
With 75% of paid care workers in Canada being women—many of them racialized—this summit seeks to drive transformative change by tackling the invisible barriers that hinder career advancement, equity, and representation in healthcare leadership.
This one-night event will bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocates, and community leaders to explore innovative gender-equity models, discuss actionable strategies, and foster multi-institutional collaborations.
Event Highlights:
- Hear from trailblazing leaders who have transformed the landscape of healthcare leadership, paving the way for women to thrive in decision-making roles.
- Expert-led conversations on breaking through systemic barriers, achieving pay equity, building inclusive workplace cultures, and creating equitable pathways for leadership.
- Interactive workshops where attendees will develop actionable strategies to accelerate gender equity in healthcare, focusing on mentorship, policy reform, and institutional partnerships.
- Connect with industry peers, advocates, and potential mentors to foster collaborations that amplify the impact of equity-driven initiatives.
