As we all try to navigate through volatile, uncertain, and complex times, Achieving Sustainability through a Greener Economy offers the opportunity to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate to accelerate positive action on building resilient and sustainable communities.
Speakers will showcase action being taken by businesses, municipalities and counties, community groups, and philanthropists on sustainability plans, climate action, and new directions for creating a green economy.

- Progress being made - counties, municipalities and community organizations working together
- Connecting Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development: What does an emerging Greener Economy look like in Southern Georgian Bay? What could a greener economy look like here?

Following the panels, participants across all sectors will engage in break-out sessions to help collectively shape objectives, alignment, and next steps for our region.
Sustainability focuses on meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Three pillars – social, environmental, and economic - are viewed holistically, and in balance.
Audience:
Residents, and business, government, nonprofit, and philanthropic leaders. Pre-registration is required. Seats are limited. These times demand that we work together. Will you help to create a more resilient and sustainable future?

- Map-out organizations, municipalities, and businesses who are making sustainability a priority
- Highlight and celebrate progress being made
- Continue to build stronger relationships, trust, and collaboration between residents, climate action and environment organizations, and municipal/county departments
- Connect the dots between economic development and climate action planning, and green economy entrepreneurs
- Nurture broader regional action - Explore benefits of a Regional Sustainability Roundtable that could share knowledge, define common metrics, identify “ecosystem” gaps, plan for green standards implementation, assess feasibility of a regional green economy hub/net zero approach/brand for region
