With over 40 years of experience as a professional accountant and financial planner, I have earned the following: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.

After completing my undergraduate degree, I began my accounting career. During the next 13 years I worked in different roles with a variety of large multinational corporations. These roles included taxation, strategic planning, budgeting and financial reporting. The firms represented many different industries, including electrical manufacturing, construction, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

In 1996, as the result of downsizing, I began a new career path as a Financial Consultant with Investors Group. During the next 23 years I held a variety of Consultant and Director positions. As I grew my own personal practice, I was also responsible for brand development and business growth in a variety of communities in Ontario and Nova Scotia.

In December 2019, I sold my practice. Since my semi-retirement, I have continued to develop my tax consulting practice.

I am actively involved in the local community. Currently I serve on the following: Four Counties Addiction Services Team Board of Directors and their Finance Committee, Easter Seals Peterborough Council and now Advocis – Peterborough Chapter as Treasurer.

I’ve been married for almost 40 years, have two adult married children and three granddaughters.
