Afro Workshop: Exploring the Styles of Ndombolo and Coupé Décalé with Cassandra Toutou

This Black History Month 2025, YENSA Festival is proud to present AFRICA VIBES: Afro Workshop with Cassandra Toutou. We are highlighting the evolution of dance styles from the African continent and offering two exciting workshops that will explore how Afrobeat, along with other African dance forms, has shaped global culture. These workshops will immerse you in Afrobeat, a genre that blends traditional African rhythms, jazz, highlife, funk, and soul, with strong influences from West African musical traditions. Through movement, you'll connect with the vibrant history, rhythms, and dance traditions that continue to influence global culture today
