About this event

Free and open to all students, staff, faculty and the public.

Work on projects, connect with others, and discover what the DFZ has to offer!

Whether you're working on a school project or exploring personal work, these sessions are a free and fantastic opportunity to connect with others, discover the Design Fabrication Zone (DFZ), and see if membership is right for you.

Open Shops offer flexible access to tools and materials, allowing you to work at your own pace. While our staff is available to provide guidance, please note that this is a shared space and event, so one-on-one assistance may not be available for the entire session. Be prepared to work asynchronously at times, or bounce your questions and ideas off fellow participants.

Drop-in nights are a casual, community-focused event where people can gather, experiment, and create. Each week we welcome a different group of folks into our fabrication space to work on their projects, gain access to tools and workbenches and meet new people in the community! We're here to support everyone in the design & fabrication industry.

Meet us in the Design Fabrication Zone's Workshop on the first floor of The Creative Enterprise Hub at Toronto Metropolitan University.
