After moving to Calgary, Ray’s career took off following a pivotal moment at a Willie Dixon concert. He immersed himself in the blues, honing his craft at iconic venues like the King Eddy and working with legends like Clarence Gatemouth Brown, Johnny V, and Tim Williams.
Ray has shared the stage with blues greats such as Pinetop Perkins, Billy Branch, Johnny Copeland, and many more, while leading his own bands and backing top artists across Canada. His vast experience spans major festivals from Halifax to the Northwest Territories. Ray’s passion for mentoring and teaching reflects his commitment to the blues tradition.
