Curious about digital art practices but don't know where to begin? Or want to learn a specific digital art program and need some assistance? This month we host an open house at the Richmond Media Lab for artists to experiment, test, and learn about the various tools and programs available for use at the Media Lab.

Located within the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex, the space is well-equipped with a wide variety of digital equipment and software, and offers classes in the digital arts on topics such as animation, illustration, 3D printing, photography, and digital crafting. Artists are invited to familiarize themselves with the space to learn what is available.

Richmond Media Lab staff will provide an introduction to the available equipment, such as 3-D printers and Cricut machines, followed by a hands-on introduction to the illustration and animation apps Procreate and Procreate Dreams using the Media Lab’s iPads.

Limited spaces. For ages 18+.

Max participants 24

The Artist Salon Series features art professionals leading inspirational artist talks and professional development for visual artists each month from February to November. Programs are either live-streamed via the Zoom platform or hosted in person. Past livestreams may be viewed as videos on the RAG@Home video page.
