Asset Management and Maintenance for Electrification White Paper - Workshop

With electrification, one of the biggest challenges is being able to operate at the same or better efficiency, while using less energy than traditional methods.

When there is insufficient maintenance on a machine, for example, it can cause additional energy requirements. The goal of this project, then, is to help understand and address commonly associated asset management challenges that come with the transition to electric. The resulting white paper will need to consider the equipment and technologies required in the mine to reduce energy consumption and help mitigate emissions challenges.

Proper asset management also requires training, change management, considerations for business needs, and safety.

The purpose of the workshop will be to help define what topics should be included in the in the guideline.
