Beginners Beekeeping Certificate Course - 4 virtual sessions that will provide basic knowledge to setup and manage a honey bee colony

The Saskatchewan Beekeepers Development Commission and the Saskatchewan Minister of Agriculture are pleased to offer the Beginners Beekeeping course encompassing four virtual sessions and one additional hands on session with field practices and open discussion included. Instructors include: Geoff Wilson - Provincial Specialist in Apiculture, Graham Parsons- Biosecurity Specialist, Dr. Medhat Nasr - Saskatchewan Beekeepers Development Commission Lead Research, Simon Lalonde - Commercial Beekeeper and Director Saskatchewan Beekeepers Development Commission. All experience levels welcome!Workshop lessons include:<ul><li>Basic Bee Biology</li><li>Standard Beekeeping Equipment</li><li>Honey Bee Colony Assessment</li><li>Seasonal Beekeeping Responsibilities</li><li>Extracting/Processing Honey</li><li>Disease and Pest Diagnoses and Management Practices</li><li>What could go wrong as a Bee-Ginner beekeeper?</li></ul>Dates &amp; Times:Every Tues starting May 11, 2021 and ending June 1st , 2021.
