About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

In an ever-changing climate, there is a trend towards more building electrification. BC Hydro has responded to the rising forecasted demand by issuing a Call for Power. While building new electricity resources is necessary, it is not the only strategy.

This 1-hour webinar will focus on demand response, load shifting, generation and energy storage systems. Hear from BC Hydro’s Paul Seo and Shantanav Bhowmick, as they share cost-effective solutions that organizations can implement to enable more electrification in their commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Learn about how demand response and self generation provides an opportunity for consumers to play a role in better utilizing the electricity grid and managing their buildings during peak periods. You’ll learn about the resilience, cost saving, power quality and reliability benefits associated with energy storage. Also, did we mention that we’ll also be discussing the details of a new rebate offer?

Join B2E’s Program Manager Mariko Michasiw and B2E Technical Committee Chair Jordan Fisher to learn more about why peak demand and load management strategies are important to the transition to electrification. This session will be interactive, so please bring questions for the speakers.
