Weaving bands, ribbons, and trims is an old craft that has many modern applications. Using colourful cotton yarn, participants will learn to weave their own band using a simple rigid heddle and small shuttle during this single-session, 3-hour workshop. Band weaving is a small and portable craft that requires minimal tools and knowledge to get started, and creates a strong and attractive flat woven band that can be used for many purposes.

When attending any of our public programs please consider bringing non-perishable food and hygiene products to donate to the Burlington Food Bank. Like so many communities, Burlington has seen an alarming 20% increase in the need for assistance with groceries over the last year. We are collecting community contributions to support the food bank’s efforts in meeting the growing demand for food security.
