2024/25 new Artist-in-Residence Brandon Wint will be facilitating a series of poetry sessions at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United Church. These sessions, entitled Between Poems & Prayers, will invite wide-ranging discussion about the ways that poetry can be employed as a spiritual technology, and invoke the language and essence of prayer. Through readings of beloved poems by the likes of Ross Gay, Aracelis Girmay, Ada Limon and others, we will collectively investigate the ways that poetry can be used to honour, interrogate and celebrate notions of gratitude, mortality, wonder and love which implicate the Divine. This will be a space for us to ask large questions, and write toward satisfying, poetic answers.

All poets and writers are welcome, regardless of experience level.
