Are you ready to step inside the secret world of birds, wildlife and native plants? Join the Cariboo Heights Forest Preservation Society on a fun, family friendly discovery stroll in Burnaby’s Secret Forest. Learn which animals and plants call this special forest home and why it is important to protect it. For a more enhanced experience, download the free nature apps ‘Seek’ and ‘Merlin’ on your phone in advance. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from us. Wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Date: Saturday, April 19th, 2025

We work with youth, community and local government to educate an advocate for the preservation of the forest, streams and wildlife in the Cariboo Heights Forest (also known as Burnaby's Secret Forest). This is the last unprotected forest in the Brunette river watershed.
