About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

In partnership with the Toronto Music Office and Northside Hip Hop’s Mark Campbell, the CBMA proudly presents the Black History Month Showcase.

As part of our Canadian Cyphers: Elements of Toronto Hip-Hop exhibit, this immersive musical event features the legendary hip-hop duo Dream Warriors, along with surprise guests, DJs, and speakers.

Canadian Cyphers: Elements of Toronto Hip-Hop is an exhibit that highlights Canada's contribution to the hip-hop genre, with a special focus on Toronto. Often overlooked due to the popularity of our neighbours to the south, Canadian hip-hop is long overdue for its flowers.

Explore our audiovisual presentation and collection of iconic albums, photographs, memorable flyers and magazines in between performances and immerse yourself in the sounds and stories that shaped Toronto's hip-hop culture.
