LOOKING FOR MORE PEOPLE TO GAME WITH? 

Join our semi-competitive social league. Join as an individual or with your friends. If you don’t know a game, come early and we will explain the rules. This league is intended for casual once-per-week play with light to medium-complexity games.

We recommend joining the league on day one but you can join anytime. However, if you join late in the season you may not get all your potential games in.


LEAGUE SUMMARY

The Social League will be a 16-game season. There will be 8 games to play twice. Players can play friendly social games to get familiar with the games before declaring a tracked game. Players must notify staff when starting a tracked game for a tracking sheet. At the end of the season, the player with the most points will be our league champion. 


In the case of a tie the player with the highest cumulative in-game score will be the winner. If players are still tied the winner will be declared via random draw.


PRIZING

J & J has also generously donated as prizes the games Small World of Warcraft & Citadels. One will be an early bird sign up prize and the other a participation prize. We will award the League champion a $50 J & J Gift Certificate to go toward whatever game you like. 


SCORING SUMMARY

All Tracked Games require at least 3 players. 

1st place 10 points.

2nd place 8 points.

3rd place 6 points.

4th place 4 points.

5th or place or lower 2 points.

Where do I sign up?

Sign up directly on the gamesontap.ca website. Click the specific event and fill out the sign-up form for the day you are interested in.

Do I have to come every week?

No, this is a casual play league. You can join anytime. to maximize your points and league standing you will want to play a minimum of 16 tracked games that will go towards your league points. but you can play those over several weeks. Friendly matches are encouraged too.

What if I can't make the first night?

That's okay. come when you can.

How will points be tracked?

See the event page for scoring. Players will receive a scoring sheet to track their game. submit it back to the staff and we'll record the details.

What if I don't know how to play these games?

Don't worry, we picked relatively easy-to-learn games. Come early and we can explain how to play or watch a video or read the rules ahead. Based on past leagues fellow competitors are usually willing to help new players too.
