The 1970s proved to be one of the most innovative and exciting decades the Broadway has ever had. The decade brought a vigorous three-sided battle for pre-eminence between rock musicals, "concept" shows and conventional post-Oklahoma productions like Grease, The Rocky Horror Show, Evita, Godspell, Annie, Sweeney Todd, Chicago, Company, A Chorus Line and so many more.

The musicals of the 1970's reflected a world that was going through significant cultural change and that evolution resulted in some of Broadway's most beloved and iconic musicals of all time. Join us as we celebrate the very best of Broadway in the 70's!

The Broadway Company Players provides a pre-professional musical theatre experience tailored to the needs of our individual students. Participation in the Junior and Senior Broadway Company Players is open to all students entering grades 6 – 12. This full year program focuses on developing the vocal, dance, and theatrical skill-sets of students who are interested in pursuing studies in musical theatre and performance. Students receive weekly instruction in voice, acting, and dance addressing the specifics of their voice, movement and character work as they are encouraged and guided on a path of personal and artistic growth. The work students do weekly culminates in a staged showcase performance in mid December and a fully staged musical performance in mid June. The Junior and Senior Broadway Company Players programs strive to encourage healthy technique, artistry and a love of musical theatre for the next generation of music theatre performers.
