About this event

Build a birdhouse
Date: April 5th
Time: 12:30 to 3:00

$25 per birdhouse. Up to two participants each house

Spring is in the air and the birds are returning to Norfolk. Looking for the perfect activity to do with the family? Join us at the Delhi Tobacco Museum & Heritage Centre on April 5th to make your very own birdhouse! In this 2.5-hour workshop, long-time museum volunteer Bill Byer will teach parents and kids how to create a new home for our avian friends. Once it’s built, it’s time to get creative. Participants will be encouraged to paint and personalize their bird palaces like a tobacco kiln or customize them anyway they want, so they’ll be the envy of every bird on the block!

Pre-registration required. You can register in person at the museum or online via Eventbrite

Don’t wait! Space is limited and we hear that the early bird gets the worm… 🪱

Situated atop a small hill overlooking Quance Park in Delhi, Ontario, this open-concept museum, built in 1979 as a model of a typical tobacco pack barn, houses a large agricultural collection which includes exhibits on tobacco, ginseng and alternative agriculture grown in Norfolk County.

Permanent and featured exhibits highlight local community history and its diverse multicultural heritage.  Throughout the year, the Museum hosts fundraising and community development events for people of all ages.  Canada’s only tobacco museum is open year-round.
