The Calgary Fire Department is hosting an information session about a career as a firefighter at the Calgary Multi-Agency Training Centre, 5705 23 Ave SE. The information session is comprised of two parts: a presentation and hands-on experience. The information session will run from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The goal of this session is to build your confidence and ignite your passion for the fire service.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about a career as a firefighter with the City of Calgary
- Learn about what it takes to become a firefighter with the City of Calgary
- Get information about the Firefighter Recruitment Process
- Participate in interactive stations using firefighter equipment and training facilities used by the Calgary Fire Department
- Connect with Recruitment Officers and firefighters to ask questions
Space is limited; interested participants must pre-register using the Eventbrite link. Ensure you have registered for the appropriate event.
Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. MST
- There are 50 spots available
- You are allowed one ticket per e-mail address
- Bring photo ID. Participants must be 18 years old
- Waivers and consent forms will be sent out prior to the event using the registered email address. These must be printed and completed at ID check-in.
- Attendees are encouraged to wear/bring gym clothing, shoes and a water bottle.
- If you register and can no longer attend, please log back in to cancel your ticket so someone else has an opportunity to attend
- If the event is sold out, log back in regularly as there may be cancellations; we do not keep a wait list
- Free Parking is available on site.
