Disclaimer and Waiver of Liability

By participating in the Canada Day Fest organized by the Indian Society of Calgary (the "Event"), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Assumption of Risk: Participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, potential exposure to large crowds, and other associated activities. By attending, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation.
2. Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, discharge, and hold harmless the Indian Society of Calgary, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and partners (collectively, the "Organizers") from any liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that may arise from or are in any way connected with your participation in the Event. This release includes but is not limited to, any liability for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.
3. Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, you consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by the Event staff or medical personnel. You agree to bear any costs associated with such treatment.
4. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or resulting from your participation in the Event.

Consent to Photography and Videography

By attending the Canada Day Fest, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Photography and Videography: The Event will be recorded through photography and videography by the Organizers and their representatives. These recordings may capture your image, likeness, and voice.
2. Use of Images and Videos: You consent to the use of photographs and videos taken during the Event for promotional, marketing, and informational purposes by the Indian Society of Calgary. This includes, but is not limited to, use on the Organizers' websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and other media channels.
3. No Compensation: You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation for the use of your image, likeness, or voice in any promotional materials or recordings.
4. Waiver of Rights: You waive any rights to inspect or approve the finished product wherein your likeness appears. You also waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of your image or recordings.

Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By participating in the Canada Day Fest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Disclaimer, Waiver of Liability, and Consent. You understand that this document affects your legal rights and that you are waiving certain rights by agreeing to these terms.
