Canada in Action: Global and Local Solutions for Climate Resilience

Come join us for an exciting event focused on tackling climate change! We will be discussing innovative solutions both on a global scale and right here in our local communities. This in-person event will be held at the Dalhousie Student Union, so mark your calendars and get ready to be inspired to make a difference. Let's work together towards a more sustainable future!

The forum will offer a 1-hour session with a panel of experts [panelist to be announced soon] from across Canada to bring their insights into climate change, climate action and Canada’s role locally and internationally.

Through a “world café” format, we will invite key climate leaders [line up of speakers coming soon] and guests to participate in a dynamic knowledge sharing experience based on concrete local and international climate expertise, offering rich exchange from diverse perspectives.

Join us for this unique public engagement event focusing on Canadian contributions to environmental and climate action. We hope participants will gain a deeper understanding of how Canada is making a difference in climate solutions here and globally.

Technical Assistance Partnership – Expert Deployment Mechanism (TAP-EDM) is funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Alinea International, TAP-EDM is a short-term technical assistance to strengthen capacity of national partner countries for increased inclusive, gender-sensitive policies.

Our events are part of Canada’s Technical Assistance Partnership (TAP) Expert Deployment Mechanism (EDM), a Global Affairs Canada initiative implemented by Alinea International, brings leaders from a diversity of sectors, backgrounds, genders, cultural identities and regions across Canada to share their expertise with partner countries around the world.

TAP is designed to support poverty reduction in countries around the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.

The TAP project responds to needs identified by countries eligible for official development assistance, ranging from gender equality and vocational training to governance and natural resource management.

A key part of the TAP project is increasing awareness of Canadians as global citizens supporting their country’s international assistance investments through strong public engagement and outreach efforts.
