About this event

Learn to taste and experience specialty coffee like how the industry professionals do it. Coffee 'cupping' is a sensorial exercise. Roasters use it for quality control, coffee/green buyers use it to select what coffees will be purchased, and producers do it to see how their crops are doing in the season.

The workshop & coffee cupping:

We'll run through all the steps prior to tasting, including set up, process, and its importance, and why we do it regularly. We will taste a number of coffees, and possibly samples of what's fresh in the season, coffees on hand and what we will be receiving from producers we work with.

note. As this is a very low pressure, casual, entry level event to the specialty coffee world, we will not be using any type of score sheet. Instead an open discussion on aroma, taste, and all sensory experience. All experience levels welcome.

note note. 1 ticket is good for 1 or 2 people, same price.
