About this event

  • Event lasts 30 minutes

You’re invited to a free performance of Laugh Out Loud: Live. Join host Ali Hassan alongside some of Canada's favourite comedians for a live edition of CBC Radio's hit stand-up comedy Laugh Out Loud. Ali's guests include comedians Martha Chaves and Ryan Dillon. You'll know Martha from her regular appearances on CBC's Because News and The Winnipeg Comedy Festival, while Ryan has performed with CBC's The Debaters and was a finalist for SiriusXM's Top Comic at JFL42. All this, plus, enjoy complimentary Tim Hortons coffee, hot chocolate and other delicious treats.

This special edition of Laugh Out Loud: Live is part of CBC Toronto’s annual food bank fundraiser Make the Season Kind (formerly Sounds of the Season) in support of Daily Bread Food Bank.

Seating is first come, first seated. Doors at the Glenn Gould Studio open at 10:45 a.m. ET. Admission is free, but if you can, please make a donation to the food bank. Daily Bread Food Bank will be on-site accepting non-perishable food items, cash and electronic donations.

You can also reserve tickets for free broadcasts of Metro Morning, Bookends and Here and Now all taking place at the Glenn Gould Studio on Dec. 6.

About Make the Season Kind:

Food banks across this city are facing an unprecedented demand. Over the last year, food bank visits served a record-breaking 3.49 million client visits — almost one million visits more than the previous year. Donations to the Make the Season Kind campaign helps to provide emergency food support to those experiencing hunger this winter.

Last year, with your generous support, CBC Toronto raised over one million dollars in support of GTA food banks. Since 2015, CBC has helped to raise over $51 million for food banks and other charities from coast to coast to coast as part of our annual holiday drives.
