This workshop will take you through each step in making your own polymer clay charms, from sculpting to baking to glazing, all the way to assembling a necklace or bracelet of your own original charms. You will learn the basic techniques you need to bring your ideas to life in the form of an endearing charm that represents your own style, signature, or sense of humour. Most importantly, it will be something that represents your own touch. You will be provided with all the necessary materials, and will leave this workshop with a completed necklace or bracelet full of your own charms. 🍀
Polymer clay is an oven-bake clay that can be hardened in only 15 minutes in a standard home oven. This clay often comes pre-coloured and ready to use, factors that make it accessible and ideal for home studios. It is also easy to mix, shape, and position as you desire, so your only limitation is your imagination!
The workshop will be led by Olivescharms (she/her), also known as Olivia, a prolific and popular sculptor. She has been making charms and accessories for five years. She is a proud proponent of the cutesy aesthetic, and loves cute and cutesy things, jewelry and accessories. She loves details, and is generally an eclectic collector. Clay is her preferred medium as it helps her make wearable and personal physical, tangible objects that give form to her imagination.
