With German audio and English subtitles, this event is an excellent opportunity for those learning German to improve their language skills while enjoying engaging stories. At the same time, it’s perfect for English-speaking participants who want to explore the depth of German film without language barriers.

For our inaugural screening, we are excited to present the hit comedy The Goldfish (Die Goldfische).

About the Film:

Directed by Alireza Golafshan, The Goldfish is a quirky and heartfelt film featuring an outstanding cast, including Tom Schilling, Jella Haase, Birgit Minichmayr, Axel Stein, and Kida Khodr Ramadan.

The story follows Oliver (Tom Schilling), a high-powered banker who becomes paraplegic after a car accident. Determined to smuggle hidden wealth from Switzerland, he joins a group of care home residents and their spirited caregiver Laura (Jella Haase). Together, they embark on a chaotic road trip filled with humor, unlikely friendships, and life lessons.

Come and enjoy a fun and culturally rich evening while exploring the best of contemporary German filmmaking.
