Welcome to Clay Space Pottery Beginner Workshops!

Join us at Clay Space on Gerrard Street East in Toronto, Canada. Our 2-hour beginner workshops are perfect for those looking to get their hands dirty and unleash their creativity with clay.

Whether you're a complete novice or have some experience, our instructors will guide you through the basics of pottery making. During the workshop, you'll learn essential ceramic techniques including:

No prior experience is necessary! Our instructors will provide step-by-step guidance in a relaxed, creative environment. Class prices include all materials and firing. Approximately 2 weeks after the workshop, your pieces will be complete and ready for collection.

Do I need any prior experience with pottery or clay?

No prior experience is necessary! Our workshop is designed for beginners and all skill levels.

What will I create during the workshop?

You'll make two pieces: one using hand-building techniques and another on the pottery wheel. You'll pick from 5 different colours, and we'll glaze and fire them for you afterwards. They'll be read for collection about 2 weeks after the event.

Can I bring my children to this workshop?

This event is for adults and teens only unfortunately but we do plan to offer more all age events in the future.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Tickets are final sale. Cancellations may be eligible for rescheduling.

How long will the workshop last?

The workshop runs for 2 hours.

When will my pottery be ready to take home?

After your pieces are dried, fired, and glazed (approximately 2-3 weeks), we'll notify you when they're ready for pickup.

What should I wear?

You should bring an apron or comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
