This panel event is part of the CommunityCONNECT series hosted by the Family Navigation Hub at Holland Bloorview. This monthly event series shares information and resources with families related to social needs such as stable housing, food security, access to childcare and more.

This virtual information session about Respite Care for children/youth up to age 18 years will feature speakers from:

Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion which will include:

  • What respite care is and what it is not
  • What respite care options exist in the community and their eligibility criteria
  • What are different funding sources to pay for respite care
  • What are the benefits of respite care
  • Perspectives from Family Leaders with experience accessing respite care

F amilies will also have a chance to ask questions directly to service providers

*Please note that this workshop is geared to parent/caregivers of children/youth 18 & under. The presenters will not be discussing adult respite services*
