About this event

Carr House is collaborating with the Greater Victoria Public Library to offer a children's storytime!

In this session, GVPL staff will be reading Emily Carr and art themed books, like "The Art Room: Drawing and Painting with Emily Carr" written by Susan Vande Griek and illustrated by Pascal Milelli. In addition, GVPL staff will guide children through singing songs, and free time will follow to work on a craft or colouring page (craft tba)!

This event will take place in Carr House's multipurpose room, which used to be Emily Carr's bedroom! With this in mind, children are welcome to attend this event in their pyjamas, and are encouraged to bring their favourite stuffed animal and/or a blanket to sit on. Emily Carr, after all, loved her animals! Chairs will be provided for parents and/or children who don't wish to bring a blanket or sit on the floor.

This event has limited registration, so don't miss your chance!

Please read all our FAQ's below for additional important information.

A note for parents: This event is for children ages 0-8. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the limited space and capacity limits, we encourage one parent per family attend the event. We unfortunately will not be able to host additional adults in Carr House's multipurpose room. Additional adults attending with their families are welcome to tour Carr House instead, or enjoy our gardens!

Please only book tickets for children attending this event (i.e. parent does not need to register).
