Feel free to also bring something to throw on the grill for the potluck or for yourself and your family :) Thank You for coming together to support our local farmers & early musicians!

Tickets include family friendly field-camping. You're very encouraged to stay overnight and skip the driving - tents are ideal, and should be setup in the tent camping field. We have a small RV field reserved solely for smallish RVs/Campers/Trailers or possibly sleeping inside your truck/van - please confirm your small RV space early via our contact page at cranfest.ca/index.php/participate as RV/Camper spots are limited (no RV hookups and please, no tent or car camping in the RV or parking fields). Limited onsite parking, so carpooling is very encouraged - park tightly together to maximize the spots avaialble (no street parking anywhere in the surrounding neighbourhood please!) Several yard carts are available to transport your gear for the short walk from parking to field camping. Salt Spring Water Co dispensers are available to refill your water bottle. Friday night movie popcorn included.

Arrive early Friday afternoon and plan to campout for the weekend. We'll have several family/kid fun events and ongoing activities, including slack lines, telescopes, ping pong, volleyball, badminton, croquet, giant checkers & chess, giant jenga, tetherball, basketball, bocce, horse shoes, soccer balls, bean bag toss, kiddie pools, and a water misting trampoline.

Tickets are $40 for the weekend for adults and free for kids 16 and under when accompanied by their parents. Although you are encouraged to campout for the weekend, if you absolutely can't we will have a small number of tickets available for $20 for Friday and $30 for Saturday.

Tree House Cafe employees, and Farmers & Farm Standers please contact Ky at https://cranfest.ca/index.php/participate in advance for a discount promo code to use when purchasing tickets, with much appreciation for what you do :) We are also happy to provide a discount promo code for our gracious Westcott, Maliview and Fer de Lance neighbours - please contact Ky at cranfest.ca/index.php/participate well in advance for the code, or have a chat with the folks at the door to come check it out.

In the spirit of retaining/encouraging positive family and community connections for all the kids and parents/grandparents/great-grandparents attending, it's ok to selectively invite your close and respectful/responsible Salt Spring friends/family. Please use discretion when sharing news of the event so that we can continue to build on the connected origins of our Co-Op Preschool Family BBQ that started back in 2010. This will also help ensure that we can continue to enjoy this annual little SSI Family Community event with the kind support from our neighbours, hopefully for years to come.

To invite your very good local friends/family, send them to www.Cranfest.ca for our info, history, and ticketing. The facebook invitation page is on the CranFest event info page at www.facebook.com/CranFestSSI. Thank you again for using discretion to invite Respectful, Responsible & Local friends and family. This is not a rave or an adult party, it is a family oriented campout, modeling respectful and responsible behaviour throughout the weekend, with a strict 1:00am Quiet Time. All attendees need to be aware of and respect these fundamental priorities, or they will kindly be asked to leave. Everyone attending is very encouraged to respectfully communicate our needs with one another in order for everyone to feel safe and supported in raising our kids together in community.

Volunteering prior to and/or during the event may an option in exchange for a ticket - contact Ky at cranfest.ca/index.php/participate well in advance if you are interested, prior to July 7th. We sincerely appreciate your participation if you feel so inclined, and spaces are limited so please be in touch at least a week before the event - not the day of as it's too busy of a time to be able to bring you into the loop.

Please Plan to Bring with You: sunscreen, refillable water bottles, camping gear, a cooler with refreshments and some local foods for lunch and to grill for dinner, Non-Glass Cups, Plates & Cutlery (we have washup sinks available), a camping chair for the movie or lounging (we also have a buncha old Fritz Movie Theatre chairs available), water squirters, & Flashlight. A tent and sleeping bag/sleeping pad thrown in the car to setup in the tent camping field will make for a great last minute alternative to driving home. Bring raingear if needed, and swimgear/towel for a Saturday/Sunday morning jaunt down to the ocean, where you can also grab a coffee and a bite from Hen and Hound Brasserie or Off The Hook Restaurant near the Fernwood Dock.

    Please Plan to NOT Bring:

    • No Glass Bottles (Barefoot Kids abound!)
    • Please leave All Pets including dogs and cats and kangaroos at home, unfortunately we cannot accomodate them on the festival grounds, camping zones, RV field, or parking area. Vehicles get way too hot to leave pets in them
    • No Cigarettes, Vapes, Campstoves/Open Flame devices (extreme fire danger - we've found way too many stray cigarette butts left in the dry grass and forest, so No Smoking or Cigarettes or Cigarette Butts Allowed Anywhere other than inside your own car) Cooking can be done only inside your RV or on our BBQ grills in the courtyard. No exceptions or you will be kindly asked to leave. If you think you may feel the need to disregard and violate these fundamental safety principles, honestly, and respectfully, please ask yourself if this little family weekend is truly right for you. We sincerely hope it can be, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

This is an event designed to help Raise Our Kids Together In Community by fostering and modeling family friendly respectful fun behaviour - play and stay in grace! Attendees of the event accept all responsibility and liabilities for their actions, and by attending agree to be responsible for their family's behaviour and to conduct themselves appropriately, which includes no drinking and driving. Please respect one another, our kids, and our neighbourhood community - No Noise on the festival grounds or adjacent roads after 1:00am, strictly enforced.

    • This has always been a non-profit event, and all ticket proceeds go towards offsetting reasonable compensation for the performers and providing some locally-sourced food for the hard working organizer volunteers. Remaining proceeds, if any, and any donations received during the weekend immediately go towards supporting this year's pressing community causes, determined by our Organizer Core Volunteer Gang. Past recipients have included the folks defending Fairy Creek Old Growth Ecosystems and RAVENTrust - Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs.

Thank you for helping to make this a fun and enjoyably sustainable event. We hope you're able to join us at the farm for this year's mid-summer full moon and a lot of family fun!
