Invest Ottawa's Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) is hosting an IWM 2025 event at Bayview Yards!
Join us for an inspiring afternoon event featuring Noura Sakkijha, Co-founder and CEO of Mejuri, as she shares her remarkable journey of transforming the fine jewelry industry and redefining entrepreneurship in Canada.
Growing up in Jordan as a third-generation jeweller, Noura noticed that traditional high-end jewelry brands often targeted men, encouraging them to buy luxury jewelry for women. Determined to rewrite this narrative, Noura co-founded Mejuri in 2015 with a mission: to empower women to buy jewelry for themselves. Under her leadership, Mejuri has not only turned fine jewelry into an everyday occasion but has also raised over $40 million, growing into a globally recognized brand. Her pieces have been worn by celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Lizzo, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Oprah.
For our keynote fireside chat, Noura will be interviewed by Karen Greve Young, CEO of Futurpreneur Canada. Together, they'll explore Noura’s entrepreneurial journey, discussing actionable insights and strategies that have fueled her success while addressing the challenges of building a sustainable and impactful business.
This event is an opportunity to learn, connect, and discuss the real victories and hurdles in entrepreneurship and e-commerce. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with great food and refreshments.
All are welcome, and it's all free! If you can't make it in person, our team will share the virtual event link just before March 31st.
