About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

An organization's guiding principles are about its DNA. Not about what it does, but about what guides what it does, and how it goes about doing it. Guiding principles, sometimes referred to as core values, work alongside mission and vision statements to better characterize the values and essence of the organization and what it is working to accomplish.

Join us for this 90 minute overview of what guiding principles are and how to create yours.

Learning objectives include:

• How do guiding principles, mission and vision statements interrelate

• "Humanizing' your organizations to create a character description of it

• Turning that description into organizational identity

ABOUT YOUR TRAINER:

Frank Atnikov

In a nutshell,

• I have 30 plus years of experience helping organizations grow and thrive.

• I’m a Certified Facilitator and hold a Canadian Institute of Management designation.

• I value collaboration, inclusion, engagement and honesty.

You’ll find me doing the work in community based spaces with a democratic and engaging style. Before launching Frank Growth Solutions I worked as both a manager and business owner in Winnipeg and Regina giving me extensive hands-on organizational experience. Then about 20 years ago I transitioned to the nonprofit world where I find my values much better aligned.

As a certified facilitator, I love seeing individuals and groups coming together in a way that produces consensual outcomes enabling projects to move forward with renewed energy and engagement.

Whether it’s functional strategic planning, improving board governance practices, or helping with organizational plans or feasibility studies, I’ll help you bridge the gap between business best practice and the greater good.

I also draw from a deep network of trusted colleagues to provide wrap-around solutions for all your organizational needs. If I can’t help, I’ll know someone who can.

So, when you need a guide, a collaborator, and (sometimes) a little tough love, I’ve got you covered.

Let’s see what we can do together.
