A sanctuary for your imagination.

Creative Cocoon is a therapeutic open studio night at the famous Parker Street Studios designed to give you the spaciousness to make art at your own pace. Drop into a beautiful creative space which has been thoughtfully curated for comfort, freedom of expression, and inspiration. Whether you’re a seasoned artist, curious beginner, or looking for relaxing evening, this is a time to nourish or reconnect with your creative spirit. No agenda, no judgement and no pressure in a warm and inclusive artistic environment. To maintain an intimate vibe, this event is limited to a maximum of 6 participants. Studio is open for 2.5 hours; stay the entirety or until you feel complete.


The Materials: Explore any variety of the following mediums…

  • Acrylic paint
  • Watercolor
  • Ink
  • Clay
  • Pastel (chalk and oil)
  • Charcoal
  • Decorative paper and collage
  • Sculptural odds and ends and other 3D craft materials


The Atmosphere: Step into a sensory mindful space with ambient light and candles, soft background music, fresh flowers, blankets and pillows.


The Intention:

  • Tap into the restorative and therapeutic benefits of art making
  • A space curated to soothe your nervous system and spark your imagination
  • Play and experiment with different art materials.


Host:
Hilary Paige, an artist and registered Expressive Arts Therapist, will be there to:

  • Greet you and familiarize you with the available materials.
  • Hold the integrity of the space to maintain its supportive energy.
  • Offer gentle 1:1 guidance and support, to ground or recieve encouragement.


Creative Cocoon invites a mindful and respectful approach to art-making, honoring the calm and reflective atmosphere of the space and the creative experiences of others. While self-expression is welcome, bold gestures or high-energy actions may disrupt the atmosphere and are not encouraged in this time.

HILARY PAIGE is a visual artist and creative facilitator living in Vancouver, B.C. As an ink & mixed media artist she creates soulful abstract art inspired by the celestial, the elements, and the human experience. As a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist she helps people tap into the fullness of their self-expression through empowering creative processes. She is known her for pioneering Flowetry approach to alcohol inks.
