About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

What it is: This free community event invites community to explore various cultural and spiritual traditions around dying and grieving. It will be a safe space for conversation, learning and sharing in a creative and welcoming atmosphere.

What to expect: Six panel members will briefly guide us through practices and rituals related to dying and grieving from various perspectives. Break out groups will follow to allow participants to go a little deeper and ask questions from one or more panel members.

A wellness station will have volunteers available to ensure you are well supported during the event and we will be welcoming people throughout the event to engage in art and crafts to share their own thoughts and reflections.

Light refreshments will be available.

Why it matters: By learning about the beliefs and attitudes that are held within other cultures and communities, we can expand our views about the shared experience of dying and grieving and inspire conversations and reflections on something each and everyone of us will experience. It invites building community and fostering joy through tender times.
