About this event

Dance Together: Move to Music

A dance program for adults 50+ with dance artist Katya Kuznetsova. Each session will include a gentle warm-up and stretch followed by movement activities that can be done seated or standing. The music includes Brazilian drumming, Cha-Cha-Cha, Swing and Waltz! No prior dance experience is required.

Katya Kuznetsova is a professional dance artist with a focus on nurturing human connection and building community through dance. As the founder of the Dance Together Project, she creates dance with “non-dancers” in a way that embraces vulnerability, builds confidence and opens access to the joy of human connection. She develops exceptionally fun and inclusive dance programs for adult learners with a mission to facilitate enjoyable and engaging dance experiences for everybody, regardless of skill level or variations in physical ability. Since 2019, together with several dance and visual artists, she has been co-producing the Dance Together Festival, which transforms city neighbourhoods through large scale dance floor murals and community dance events that celebrate positive and accessible dance experiences.
