GROUPO FOLKLORICO TONATIUH

Tonatiuh was founded in 2002 by Luz Castillo, with the goal of preserving and promoting Mexican folkloric traditions in Canada. In 2014, the group expanded to include a children's section, aiming to instill pride in Mexican roots among younger generations.

Tonatiuh has participated in numerous events throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), establishing itself as a key figure in promoting Mexican culture in Canada.

Luz Castillo, a dancer trained at the Mexican Dance School in Mexico City, her dance career began at the young age of 7. Luz had the opportunity to participate in multicultural events across Europe, performing in places such as Mallorca, Spain; Sicily, Italy; and Paris, France, before moving to Canada.

VIVA MEXICO MARIACHI
