Design & Carve Pattern Blocks Workshop - Gladstone House

Explore pattern through play with award-winning children’s book author and illustrator Claudine Crangle. In this workshop, you’ll carve a selection of small printing blocks, combining and repeating marks to explore your own unique expression. Learn cutting techniques and ways to approach placing shapes and motifs creating a variety of effects. You’ll use your blocks with stamp pads in this workshop and you’ll also be able to use them later to print with inks for paper and textiles. 

Instructor Claudine Crangle is an author and illustrator of books for children, a printmaker and multi-media paper artist. 

All tools and materials provided. Participants take home carved blocks, printed samples and an instructional handout.
