About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Join us at Eye Dot Studio, just south of Kensington Market, for a cozy, hands-on workshop where we’ll turn pre-loved fabrics into stylish cropped vests—perfect for fall! Whether you bring your own old bed sheets, or unused fabric, or use the ones provided, you’ll create a minimalist vest that adds flair to your seasonal wardrobe. We’ll combine both machine and hand-sewing techniques, rotating between sewing machines, cutting patterns, ironing bias tape, and stitching by hand.

During breaks, feel free to sketch, work on your ongoing textile projects, or explore our curated selection of inspiring books.

This workshop pairs beautifully with our upcoming sessions, where you’ll dive into embroidery, quilting, and printmaking techniques to enhance your vest with color, texture, and patterns—all while continuing to upcycle pre-loved fabrics. Stay tuned for more workshops designed to elevate your creative skills!
